Giving Up Already?

Hello everyone.

In case the silent inactivity following my debut entry led you to believe that I had given up early on my blog, allow me to assure you that is not the case. I am every bit as committed and focused as when I first mustered up the courage to create this journal, and I don't plan on abandoning it anytime soon.

The reason for the inactivity is due to my inexperience with owning a personal blog; I want to make sure the bulk of my entries are created with the upmost polish and care, so potential readers remain interested enough to visit on a weekly basis. So I spent the last week working on my first article while also wondering which formats would work best, the kind of fonts I should apply, the usage of images or hyperlinks, and so forth.

So let me fill you in on what I have planned for this blog so far:

1. Updates Every Sunday: I felt that managing at least one entry a week would be the most reasonable course for adding my entries. I do the majority of my typing late at night, so I had decided that I could finish up a new entry by late Saturday, submit it by midnight, and still count it as a Sunday post. So in other words, you can expect new entries to my blog by the time you wake up Sunday morning (or afternoon, which I consider ideal for weekends in general), or at the latest by Sunday night (like this post). I want to try to keep it to mornings rather than nights to keep you from constantly checking, but at least expect updates to appear in one of the two designated time frames.

2. Categories: As I mentioned before, you can expect articles related to video games, media (including anime or movies, but you can expect most of the former and little of the latter), and any miscellaneous musings that may not fit the first two categories. And of course, my written works, which I hope will catch the interest of someone important to the industry, but I'll be just as content to have the stories enjoyed by whoever takes the time to read them. Book reviews fall into the latter category as well, so budding writers are more than welcome to contact me if they would like an honest look at their work (just as I hope for the same).

3. Stories: As for my stories, right now I'm working on transcribing my very first attempt (mentioned before in my opening entry) onto my PC; Back then, I lacked my own computer, and only made a hard copy of my story. Luckily three copies of it sit in my desk, so it's only a manner of taking the time to type everything back into a Word program. But I'm not just going to type everything in verbatim; I'm going to go over it and revise anything that I may pick up at my current skill level. I'm already considering in changing the story title, but you'll get more details once I'm close to submitting it.

So that's the gist of things. In case you were wondering, I am cheating a bit by posting this somewhat apologetic entry to make good on my Sunday updates, but I can assure you this will be a rare occurrence. You can certainly expect an article with some real content by next week, and I have a hefty list of entries planned afterwards. So please, check back by next week, and feel free to tell as many of your friends who may be interested in checking out my blog. I have high hopes for this blog, but I would remain easily content to have a bountiful amount of readers checking in every week.

See you next Sunday.

I want not concur on it. I assume polite post. Especially the designation attracted me to study the intact story.
